
Overview
This page brings together small physical projects from my earlier workshop archive. They share a workflow: make or adapt parts, fit them to real components, assemble the object, and document what happened.
The archive contains photographs, printable geometry, CAD views, recorded audio, voiceovers, and video edits. Each type of record explains a different part of the build.
Arcade-style controller
The controller combines a printed enclosure with large buttons and printed caps. The shape of the body places the controls where they can be used together, making the enclosure part of the interaction design.
The cover shows the assembled object with its black housing and contrasting gray controls. Related video material documents the build as something to explain as well as fabricate.
The available record identifies the physical construction. It does not establish a particular controller board, input protocol, or latency measurement, so those specifications are not assigned here.
Soldering fan
The workshop fan uses a printed casing, front grille, motor mount, and wide feet. The assembly photograph shows how those parts turn a small fan into a stable desk object.
The separate parts address practical assembly concerns: holding the motor, protecting the front, and supporting the body at a usable angle. Their relationship is visible in the finished build rather than only in an isolated model.
The archive describes this as a soldering-fan project. Its photographs do not provide airflow or filtration measurements.
Printed violin experiment
The rainbow violin was printed and assembled for a sound test using guitar strings. The archive includes the original thumbnail, recorded audio, and a video-editing project.
This was an experiment in fabrication and trying the resulting instrument. My contribution is the printing, assembly, and documentation; the original instrument geometry is not claimed as my design.
The sound-test record complements the photograph because the point of the object includes what happens when it is played, not just its appearance.
Other parts in the archive
Smaller experiments include a printed mallet, bike-light mounts, organizers, and parts associated with RC-car and robot builds. These sit alongside the larger documented objects rather than standing in for finished products that were never photographed.
The Catan organizers, dice boxes and counters, and LED sculptures now have dedicated pages with their own build records.
Documentation and current state
These are completed experiments and archived builds. The photographs below show the original objects; the source material is retained as a work record.
A photo can establish that a part was fabricated and assembled. Dimensions, electronics specifications, and measured performance need their own records. Where those details were not preserved, the page keeps the description at the level the build evidence supports.
