Overview
These printed Catan accessories organize two different parts of game setup: the shared card decks and each player’s roads and buildings.
The card trays spread the decks into accessible groups on the table. The piece cases pack individual sets into fitted storage. Photographs show both accessories holding the actual game components.
Card trays
The tray arrangement gives resource and development cards separate positions. Contrasting black and white printed sections make the repeated structure easy to see in the photograph.
The design problem is partly about access: cards should stay organized while remaining easy to select during play. The in-use image records how the printed shape relates to the decks, rather than showing an empty container whose fit is unclear.
Player-piece case
The compact case uses parallel channels for roads and separate locations for settlements and cities. A fitted arrangement helps make the inventory visible when the case is open.
A separate cover closes the case for storage. The archive preserves multiple body, holder, and cover versions, including PieceHolderV2, PieceHolderV3, CaseCoverV2, and CaseCoverV3 STL files.
Those revisions are part of the build history. A cover and holder need to be treated as a matching assembly, not simply selected from unrelated exports with similar names.
CAD and fit
The CAD detail on this page shows a road piece seated in a channel. That reference connects a feature in the organizer to the physical object it is meant to hold.
The development sequence includes CAD views, printable exports, photographs with the game pieces, and videos of the parts being handled. Together they document more than the container’s outside dimensions: they show the intended arrangement and access to individual pieces.
Changing game edition or component shape would require checking that fit again. The photographed set is the compatibility evidence for this version.
Build record and use
The finished accessories can move between table setup and storage. The trays group the shared decks; the covered cases collect a player’s pieces after the game.
