## In short

I printed and assembled dice boxes that open into storage and a lined rolling tray, along with rotating life counters for tabletop games. Separate numbered rings let me change one digit at a time to track a value during play. The builds need matching parts and enough room for the lids to close and the rings to turn.

## Dice storage and game counters

I printed and assembled these dice boxes and life counters for tabletop games.

The box opens into dice storage and a lined rolling tray. The life counter, a counter for tracking a value during play, uses rotating numbered rings.

## Dice box layout

One half of the box holds the dice; the other has a dark lining for rolling. The brown printed body has a textured lid, rounded corners, and inset closure pieces (parts set into the body to hold it closed).

The cover shows the brown box open during use. The gallery shows the brown box closed for storage and a mint-green variant open on wood, with black felt lining, four inset magnets, and its detached textured lid behind the base.

## Box files and variants

The print files include:

- Separate tops and bottoms.
- A card-size box.
- Decorative variants.

The lining and closure pieces are added to the printed shell during assembly.

## Rotating life counter

Each digit is built into a separate printed ring. Turning a ring changes that digit while the others stay in place.

End pieces hold the assembly together, and a pointer identifies the selected number.

The gallery shows loose gray rings and end pieces alongside an assembled multicolored counter and a light blue-grey marble-speckled counter. The marble-speckled build has an embossed arrow pointer on its left end and 20 selected on the right ring. The part designs also include a roller, indicator, and stand.

## Fit and assembly notes

### Box lid

The box needs a lid that closes cleanly around its base and lining.

### Counter rings

The counter needs enough clearance (space between parts) for the rings to turn independently while staying held by the end pieces.

Check those fits before finishing the box or fully assembling a counter. Alternate part versions may need different matching pieces.

## FAQ

### How does the dice box work during play?

The box opens into dice storage on one side and a lined rolling tray on the other.

### How do the life counters change values?

Each digit is on a separate rotating printed ring. End pieces hold the rings together, and a pointer identifies the selected number.

### What fits need checking during assembly?

The box lid needs to close around the base and lining. Counter rings need enough clearance to turn independently while remaining held by the end pieces; alternate versions may require matching parts.
