- **My work:** Physical printing and prop finishing
- **Pieces:** Jad figure and painted dagger
- **Style:** Faceted game shapes with visible print texture

## In short

I printed a red Jad figure and made a hand-painted dagger inspired by the game RuneScape. The figure shows the angular shape and print layers in one color, while paint separates the dagger’s blade, guard, and handle. The dagger is a decorative display prop.

## Overview

I printed a red Jad figure and made a hand-painted dagger based on the game RuneScape.

The figure keeps a single red color, while the dagger uses separate colors for the blade, guard, and grip.

## Jad figure

Jad is the game character represented by the figure. The print has a faceted body (made up of flat, angular surfaces), spread legs, horns, and an open mouth.

Its angular shape works well as a single-color print, with the red material and visible print layers giving it texture.

## Painted dagger

I painted the dagger with a red blade, green tip, gray guard, and brown handle.

The colors follow the edges of each part, so the blade and handle stand apart even though they share the same printed texture.

It is a decorative display prop.

## Shape and paint

I used two different finishing approaches:

- **Jad:** most of its appearance comes from the shape itself.
- **Dagger:** paint does more of the work to separate its surfaces.

Both approaches also show up in my [Rust prop collection](<https://devanmetz.com/portfolio/painted-rust-props/>).

## Game inspiration

These are RuneScape fan pieces. My work is the printing and finishing; the character and item designs come from the game.
