I printed, assembled, and hand-painted a collection of display props based on items from the game Rust. Paint separates straps, handles, metal details, and bone-colored surfaces on the printed pieces. The collection includes a satchel, tools, a storage chest, and nonfunctional display replicas.

## Overview 

I printed, assembled, and hand-painted this collection of display props inspired by the game Rust.

The set includes a satchel, pickaxe, storage chest, Eoka (a gun-shaped game item), bone knife, and miniature rocket.

Paint gives the printed pieces their different surfaces: brown straps and handles, dark metal details, and lighter bone-colored areas. These are nonfunctional display replicas.

## Satchel: before and after 

The satchel started as a white print, with the folds, raised straps, loops, and top details already built into the shape.

### Separating the surfaces with paint 

I painted the body tan, the straps dark brown, and the smaller details black. Those color changes make the straps and fittings stand out from the body. The gallery shows the same prop before and after painting.

## Painting and surface details 

I used contrasting colors across the smaller pieces:

-   **Bone knife:** a light blade and a brown wrapped handle.
-   **Eoka:** a tan grip with a dark barrel and wrapped detail.
-   **Miniature rocket:** a red tip contrasting with the dark body and open tail.

The print texture remains visible beneath the paint, especially around edges and recessed details (areas set below the surrounding surface).

These are fan props based on items from Rust. My work is the printing, assembly, and hand painting; the game-item designs come from Rust.
